Challenging is Running a 100 Miles

How to run 100 miles is directed by Brendon Leonard is about two friends that want to run a 100 miles race Brendon make this documentary about Jayson and he talks about what Jayson had to go through to be a successful person.

The writer’s purpose of this documentary is to show the audience that you need to believe in what you can do in life and not stop fighting for your dreams and don’t give up because of the people bringing you down. You should have the inspiration to stand up and move on to get up and reach your dreams. Commitment is also the main lesson of this documentary, this story has a lot of commitment as a person someday you will have to commit to something for it to succeed.

The message I received from the documentary is to not give up even if you don't like what you are going through in life you will continue to fight because it is just one of many trials in life and life is not always perfect you will have a strength that other people's weaknesses and vice versa. Their will be a part of your life that even your own friend will leave you and problems in the family will affect you, you need to move on and don’t give up, you don't need to believe to the person that brings you down you need to believe in the person that's believing you like what Jayson said “It helps to have a friend along”.

This documentary in the first part I thought was going to be boring but when I carried on watching I start to like it and I was inspired by Jayson’s story because even if he gets into a lot of problems like the divorce of his parents and even he has dyslexia he surpassed it and make himself into successful as he can he helped himself to finish studying like one of the lessons in the documentary they said that “you have to keep moving” I think that was the motivation that Jayson keep and use in his life.

My favourite character in this documentary is Brendon Leonard because I see myself in him. Like Brendon Leonard I like challenges and I like what he said “I don’t like running but I like a challenge’” that will improve me as a person and the way Brendon trust Jayson at the end of their run and said that he will stay if Jayson will stay the committing part of him as person or friend is really amazing.

In the world around me the only connection that it have in Brendon and Jayson is only my English teacher Mrs, Gopperth ran a 100 miles like Brendon and Jayson Mrs Gopperth had support from her friends like what Brendon said in the documentary ‘it helps to have a friend along”. Mrs Gopperth always tell us a story about the running that she’s competing it’s like the way Brendon and Jayson gave in this documentary they tell us how will you feel and by telling that it’s like you have experience to run in a 100 miles. Like Jayson, Brendon and Mrs Gopperth we should not give up.

SPEECH

When I said my speech
My pulse was rising really high
I was so nervous
I had to speak in front of the class.

I don’t know why I was so nervous
These are my friends,
Friends from the Filipino community
Who are here for me till the end

While  I am saying my speech
I start to move my feet
I am still feeling nervous
Thinking Is my speech going well.

Saying a speech is a solitude calming time
So people say.
But I don’t know
I can’t tell

I am thinking to myself I don't care
If people don’t like my speech

I believe in myself
I have self-acceptance.

My circle of friends in class
Are really polite
they listened to what I had to say

My teacher was recording
how I was doing with my speech
She gave me an awesome feedback.

My teacher  wrote on my report
That I spoke really well and clearly,

My teacher said I explained the story
She said the poster I made
Matched the story very well

Now I can breathe
My speech is over

Thank goodness I never want to do a speech again.

THE BOOK IS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE: TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN

This is my video blog about Tomorrow When The War Began

My favourite character is Ellie in the book Tomorrow When The War Began because at the beginning of the novel, Ellie was shown as a normal teenager she was the one who planned to go to Tailor’s Stitch. We see Ellie and Corrie when they try to borrow the land rover from Ellie's parents so they can go to Tailor’s Stitch Ellie wants to enjoy her life while she’s still young. By the end of the book, Ellie became the leader of the group learning how they will survive in the war and her mind becomes more open to what was happening in her life.

KAHOOT

While we were reading the book Tomorrow When The War Began we made a Kahoot in class but we are not allowed to play it because of the law restriction. I think this is not fair because we put a lot of work into putting together the questions.

CATCH ME WHEN I FALL

Eileen Merriman

Image result for catch me if you fall bookI chose this book because I didn't have a choice. Mrs Gopperth want us to read a book and I don't like reading books. I prefer watching movies than reading books because I'm not good at remembering stories. I chose this book because when I read the back cover of the book It's interesting and the book is colourful

The characters that I met so far is Alex Byrd and Jamie Orange they are the main character of the book.In first chapter they met in the hospital because Alex need to have her blood test and Jamie as well and they begin to see each other as much as they can.

When they are trying to know each other Alex find out that her leukaemia has came back and she try to hide the news to Jamie that her leukaemia  came back.

March 15 2019
It's been three weeks since I posted this blog. Now I'm still reading the same book that I was reading last time. I am half way to the book and sometime I can't understand some word's because Alex is back at the hospital and they use a lot of medical words that I'm not used to hearing because it's all new for me. I will still carry on reading it.

The part I'm reading in the story right now is when Alex are back in the hospital. To do chemo therapy and Jamie is on vacation trip and they only communicate trough phone calls and messages at night.  Alex's phone has been confiscated by her parents because before the day that she's going back to the hospital she run away at their house to see Jamie.
